My name Is Monique Vinci.
I was born and raised in the Vista/Oceanside area. I come from a big Italian family and I am the youngest of three siblings. When I was 16, I never felt like I fit in. I ended up using drugs because I believed that was a crowd that would accept me. I continued down the wrong path and ended up incarcerated more than a few times. I've now been sober 17 months – my clean date is March 22, 2022. I've decided to make a change in my life and go back to school so I can become a substance abuse counselor. I haven't been to school in a long time so it has me a little nervous. At the same time, I am excited to show others that change is possible.
